From a young age, Beate Scheller has had a keen interest in art & design. Throughout her life, creativity has been a constant companion - from silk painting to visual merchandising. Moving to Portland from her native Germany, she had the opportunity to study printmaking and Art at Portland State University.

Her work is influenced by architectural shapes, patterns, and organic forms of nature.

Beate’s work has been critiqued as part of the International Art Exhibition dOKUMENTA. You can find her work in multiple print exchanges, and exhibits throughout the years.

Printmaking and painting are my passion. I develop my images through lines and pattern. Drawing from architecture, but also nature, I design my prints with phantasy elements, print mostly in b/w, but add color, choose different papers, or use chine collé paper during the printing process.
